Frequently Asked Questions

“Why doesn’t the screen display an image from my camera after it is paired?”

Please ensure the camera channel is set to “Active”, see page 18.

“No Signal” could indicate that the camera is out of range.

“No Video” indicates that the monitor is detecting a signal from the
camera, but it is not strong enough to display an image.

“The screen looks scratched/scuffed, but it is brand new out of the box!”

There is a plastic film attached to the front of the screen to protect it
from damage in transit. This can be peeled off to reveal a pristine
screen.

“I can hear a rough sound from the microphone but nobody is around”

The microphone is very sensitive and often picks up atmospheric noise
like wind. Turn down the volume on the monitor.

“Motion detection keeps recording, but nobody is there”

Motion detection looks for movement from any source. Please ensure
there are no trees blowing in the wind or other movement.

High sensitivity levels can create ‘false positives’, try reducing the
sensitivity level.

“The PIR did not detect someone moving past”

The PIR has a maximum range of 5m on both the 5m and 15m night
vision camera models. In warm weather the range can be reduced.
