Press MENU.
Use or keys to select the desired mode.
Menu timeout on:
If selected the system menu will disappear after
20 seconds. Press any function keys to make it
visible again.
Menu timeout off:
If selected the system menu will be constantly
visible on the screen. The system menu is not
recorded.
Press OK to confirm your choice and to exit the
menu.
4.5.4 Text appearance
You can customize the appearance of text on the OSD to
suit your preferences.
Changing font color:
You can modify the text font color:
Press COLOR to enter the Color menu.
Use the or keys to select your desired color.
Press OK to confirm your choice and to exit the
menu.
Changing OSD text transparency:
You can modify the transparency of the OSD field text
background:
Press TRANS to enter the Color menu.
Use the or keys to select your desired
transparency level from black to transparent.
Press OK to confirm your choice and to exit the
menu.
Changing the background color for text pages:
You can modify the background color for system
information pages and the Report, Card and file browser
menus.
Press BACKG to enter the Background color menu.
Use the or keys to select your desired
background color.
Press OK to confirm your choice and to exit the menu.
4.6 System Menu
The command module features an intuitive on-screen
menu that appears on the bottom of the OSD. This menu
provides users with access to all features and settings.
The menu is organized in hierarchical layers.

4.6.1 General navigation and text entry
Figure 4.6 illustrates the main page with the menu
highlighted in black at the bottom of the screen. The
figure shows the top-level menu. To navigate the menu,
use the function and arrow keys on the keypad or
keyboard. The key on the keypad will return you to the
previous screen; press this key several times and you will
return to the top-level menu. Once you reach the top-level
menu, pressing the arrow will cause the menu to flash,
indicating that you cannot go higher.
If the menu disappears from the screen – when on-screen
timeout is enabled – then press any function key to return
to the last viewed menu option.
Where a selection is required use the or arrow keys
to cycle through the options in that menu screen. Use the
OK key (or Enter on the keyboard) to confirm the selected
choice.
NOTE: You can also use the keyboard’s Function, ESC,
Enter and cursor keys to navigate and select options in
the menu.
Where required you can enter text by using the keyboard
or keypad.
Entering text with the keyboard
The keyboard is fully featured; you can enter any available
character and use navigation keys such as Home, End
and the arrow keys to position the cursor.
To delete all text to the left of the cursor, select DEL <.
To delete all text to the right of the cursor, select DEL >.
Press Esc to undo your changes and exit.
Press Enter to save your changes.
