Check the power cord for damage before every use. A damaged cord is extremely dangerous and must
be replaced immediately. This may be done only by the manufacturer or authorized technicians only. The
appliance may be plugged into a grounded socket only. The ground protection may not be eliminated by
an ungrounded extension cord.

location
• Only operate the food dehydrator on a sufficiently water and heat resistant, level and stable surface and not in the
vicinity of hot stoves, gas flames or other sources of heat. Make sure that there is enough space next to and
above the food dehydrator and assure a sufficient air ventilation.
Attention:
The food dehydrator has to be placed firmly on the surface. Make sure that it stands level on all four feet.
• Ensure that the power cord and/or any extension cord does not cross over hot surfaces such as the stove, does
not pass over sharp edges, is not kinked or bent. Otherwise there is a risk of fire, electric shock, or short circuit.
• Also ensure that the power cord and/or any extension cord used does not hang down from the table or counter
so that no one can trip over it, is caught or cause the appliance to be pulled down.

first
use
• Please read the instructions and safety guidelines carefully before using the device.
• Remove all packing material and dispose of it properly.
• Wipe inside and outside of the device with a soft cloth, slightly moistened if necessary, and dry it off thoroughly.
• Clean the dehydration trays, the mesh tray and the fruit leather tray with warm water and a mild detergent. Please
dry all parts thoroughly and place them in the appliance.
• Heat the empty device at 75 °C for approx. 30 minutes; the slight odor that will probably be produced is completely
harmless. This is only protective oil, which was applied during production. Ensure good ventilation of the room
during this period!
