Level
– «Voice activity» threshold value setting
In the
Voice Activity
submenu with the or button, select menu item:
Level, dB -14
Press the button.
With the or button, select the necessary value for the
Threshold
parameter in
the range from minus
31
to
0
dB, for example,
Level, dB -11
Press the button.
Indicator, which displays signal level at the selected input, allows setting
right threshold value.
Exit the
Voice activity
submenu
To exit the Voice Activity submenu, press the button.
If the «Voice activity» mode parameters have been changed, the
Save
message
will appear.
With the or button, select the necessary answer.
Choose
Yes
to confirm changes.
Choose No to cancel changes.
For confirmation of the choice press the button.
The
Settings screen will appear on screen again.
To exit the
Settings
screen, press the button.
The main window will appear on screen (see DISPLAY VIEW WHEN RECORDER IS
ON p. 13).
In the lower left-hand corner of the voice recorder screen the indicator of the
«Voice activity» recording mode will change its colour from dark-blue (off) to
yellow (on).

Switch recording on by moving switch on the right side panel of the voice re-
corder into the position of switching the recording on – .
The indicator of the Voice activity recording mode will change its to red

If the signal level is higher than a Voice activity threshold value, recording will
begin.
If the signal level is lower than a Voice activity threshold value for a delay time,
recording will stop.
If the signal level is higher than a Voice activity threshold value again, recording
will begin in the next file.
To stop recording, move switch on the right side panel of the voice recorder into
the position of stop of the recording – .
