6.1
Maintenance schedule
Information
In order to ensure the availability and operational safety of the equipment, we
recommend having the system checked for correct operation and performance at
least once per year by specialized technicians. To find contact addresses of

The maintenance intervals specified in the following table are guidelines which
should be observed as a minimum requirement. The maintenance intervals may
vary, depending on the use of the instrument.
To ensure the flawless function of the instrument, proceed with the following
maintenance tasks:
Start of work
Tasks to be performed
Check the gas supply
The min. pressure in the bottle is 40 bar.
Peristaltic pump tubing and sample
introduction system tubing
Check for damage and flow.
Weekly maintenance work
Plasma control fiber-optics
Check for damage and contamination. Clean or
replace if required, see page 40.
Nebulizer
Check for contamination and clogged lines. Clean
if required, see page 35.
Spray chamber
Check for contamination and streaks. Clean if
required, see page 36.
Backup of analysis data
Monthly maintenance work
Plasma torch box
Check the Plasma torch and spray chamber for
damage and contamination. Clean or replace if
required, see page 33.
Nebulizer
Check quality of aerosol generation, see page 38.
Air filter (behind the right side of
instrument)
Replace, if dirty.
