In stallation Basics
  Read the directions!
  Avoid ti ght hose bends and excessive runs.
  U se heavy gauge w ire.
  Install feed pump as low as pos sib le.
  U se a dedicated thru - hull with scoop type strainer.
Thru - hulls
It is mandatory that a d edicated 3/4 ” to 1” forward facing scoop type intake thru - hull and
seacock b e installed. Install the intake for the system close to the middle and as far below
the water line as possib le. Thru - hu ll s in the bow area are suscep tible to air intake in rou gh
conditions. Sharin g a thru - hul l w ith another system is not accep table and will vo id the war-
ranty. Sharin g a thru - hull can introduce unforese en problems such as intermittent flow re-
striction, air bubb les, and contam inates. For racin g boats and hi gh speed power boats above
15 knots a r etra ctable snorkel - type thru - hull fitting is preferred to b e able to pick up w ater
away from the hull.
Do not install the intake close to or downstream of a head discharge. Install as far below the
waterline and as close to center line as possib le to avoid contamination and air induction.
The brine di scharge through - hu l l shou ld be mounted above the waterline, in or just above the
boot stripe to min im i ze water lift.
Double clamp a ll ho se connections below the waterline.
Pi pe Fitting Instruction
Plastic to plastic fitting s shou ld have 3 to 4 wraps of Teflon tape and will thread almost al l
the way in.
Avoid getting dirt or debr is into the piping or hoses during assembly. A s mal l b it of de-
bris can stop th e system! Avoid gettin g tape ov er the end of fittings that might get into the
system. To ensure thi s does not happen, leave the v ery first thread un coat ed.
Avoid restrictions or lon g runs on the entire inlet side of the plumbin g fro m the thru hull to
the main feed pump modu le.
Preven t tight bends and ex cessive elbows. Any restrictions w i ll ha mper system performance.
Secure the pipin g away from mov in g ob jects such as en gine belts and hatches. Preven t chafe
on the tubing as required. Test and inspect al l p ipin g and hose cla mps after several hours of
operation.

  Perform wirin g to UL, AB YC, CE or applicable standards.
