Connection of Optional Accessories
Use of any external de vic es not approved by the fac tory may cause permanent damage
to the controll er and is not covered by the Spec tra warranty. Accessory outputs are lim-
ited to 2 amps maximu m load ! Do not connect motors, p ump s, etc to acc essory outputs.
Ultraviolet Steri lizer: Detailed instructions are included with the sterilizer kit. The U V
steril izer la mp modu le and ballast unit should mount vertically, w ith the produc t wat er inlet
at th e bot tom, outlet a t th e top. The ballast wires plu g into the end of th e bulb in the lamp
module. The ballast RED wire connects to “STER” terminal on the MPC board, and the bal-
last BLACK w ire connects to the “GND” terminal. If the wires must be extended, use m in i-
mum 16 AWG w ire.
External Bu z zer(s): In add ition to the external buz zer(s) instal led at each remote control
disp lay panel, a buzzer un it may be in stalled at the control box. The buzzer RED wire con-
nects to the “BUZZ” term inal on the MPC board, and the buzzer BLACK w ire connects to
“GND.”
Optional Z - brane Syste m: Detailed instructions are included in the Z - Brane section.
Connect to an uninterruptible 12 of 24Vo lt DC power source.
Float Switches: Your MPC 5000 can be wired to oper ate with optional tank float switches
for truly automated opera tion. See the instructions and w irin g schematics on the next page
