6. Warranty and legal requirements
The following warranty terms supplement your legal rights.
The supplier of your battery pack guarantees it against any material or construction faults
providing the following conditions are met:
You can only claim against the warranty if you can show proof of warranty or purchase. The
warranty period starts on the day of purchase.
Sparta is not responsible for accidents or malfunctions resulting from improper use of (parts of)
the E-bike.

The maximum permitted combined weight of the rider, luggage and E-bike is 120 kg.
•
The use of trailers and child seats is not permitted.
•
Normal wear is not covered by the warranty.
•
Do not clean the bike using a high-pressure hose. A powerful water jet may damage the
electronics, thereby invalidating the warranty.
Legal requirements
The vehicle described is classed as a bicycle under European law because it conforms with the
following rules:

The pedal assistance is only active when the user is pedalling.
•
The pedal assistance is active to a maximum of 25 k.p.h.
•
The maximum power supplied is 250 Watt.
Environment
In conformity with regulations issued by the Ministry of Transport, Spatial Panning and the
Environment for the collection and processing of batteries, we recommend that defective battery
packs should always be handed in to your dealer. The dealer is obliged to accept the battery pack
and ensure that it is processed further by the manufacturer.
Periodic maintenance
Meticulous assembly of the E-bike is essential to your safety. To guarantee your safety and
validate any warranty claims, the E-bike must only be prepared for use by an accredited E-bike
dealer. Your E-bike also needs regular periodic maintenance. You dealer can give you precise
advice and information about how best to use your bike. If you have any questions or problems
with your E-bike, please contact your dealer.
