An “Are you sure?” window will open. Customize the heading for the alpha 4.
numeric data file that will collect during the run by entering the product name,
product number and the operator name. Click Start. The alphanumeric data
collection will begin at this time.
Note: Shelf temperature and Vacuum set points can be changed at any time during
the manual run.
To start the shelf freezing, click on the Shelf button. This activates the fluid 5.
pump and starts the shelf cooling. The system will control at whatever set
point is in the Shelf set point box.
Once the shelves have reached the desired temperature, turn on the 6.
Condenser.
Note:
If the condenser is activated before the shelves have reached the
setpoint, subsequent cooling of the shelf and condenser will be slower than
otherwise.
Once the condenser has reached a temperature of –40°C or lower click on 7.
the Vacuum. The vacuum pump will turn on and the system will evacuate to
control at the Vacuum Set-point.
At the end of the run you can perform gas Backfill and stoppering if required.

Turn off the Condenser and Vacuum. Turn on Release. Release opens the 9.
vacuum break valve to bring the system back to atmospheric pressure.
Note: Use the software to perform step 9. Do NOT use the condenser drain valve to
break vacuum. This sudden change to atmospheric pressure is not recommended for
the capacitance manometer.
Once the system has come to atmospheric turn off the Release, and turn off 10.
the Power.
2 During Backfill, air or nitrogen will enter the system through the product chamber only. During
Release, air or nitrogen will enter the system through both the product chamber and the
condenser.
