3. Operate the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, check that the
navigation screen is displayed and the music can play.

4. After completing the check of step 3, press the [HOME] button
on the main unit, and touch the [Settings] on the touch panel.

5. The “General Settings” screen is displayed.
Move down the scrollbar on the touch panel to display the
“Factory Reset”, and touch it.

6. The following screen is displayed, and touch the [Reset] on the
touch panel.

7. Check that this unit restarts and the logo of “SONY” is dis-
played on the screen, then turn the power off.
8. Remove the iPhone or Android phone that is connected to the
main unit.
This completes the communication check work.

Checking procedure if Apple CarPlay or Android
Auto cannot be prepared
If the application of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto cannot be pre-
pared, perform the following method.
Preparation:
• Mass Storage Class type USB memory where is storing video
and audio that is saved by MPEG-4 format
• Speaker for checking the audio output

Checking procedure:
1. Refer to “Connection”, and connect the USB memory to USB
port of main unit.
2. Press the [HOME] button on the main unit, and touch the
[USB] on the touch panel.

3. Check that the picture and sound that stored in the USB memo-
ry normally play (Check that the sound output from the speak-
