Troubleshooting
Self-diagnosis function
This TV is equipped with a self-diagnosis function. If there is a problem with your TV, the
/
(Standby/Sleep) indicator will flash in red repeatedly. Writing down the duration of flashes
and interval between flashes helps you inform your dealer or Sony service center of the TV’s
condition.

Measure how long the
/
(Standby/Sleep) indicator flashes and stops flashing.
For example, the indicator flashes for two seconds, stops flashing for one second, and flashes
for two seconds.

Press the
&
(Power) switch on the TV to switch it off, disconnect the AC power cord, and
inform your dealer or Sony service center of how the indicator flashes (duration and interval).
Trouble symptoms and remedies
• Here are some simple solutions to problems which may affect the picture and sound.
• If you continue to experience problems, have your TV serviced by qualified service
personnel. Never open the casing yourself.

• Check that the optional equipment is on and press

correct input symbol is displayed on the screen.
• Check the connection between the optional equipment
and the TV.
