NFC CONNECTION CHECKING METHOD
When checking the connection between the BLUETOOTH device
and the wireless speaker using the NFC function, refer to the fol-
lowing.
Note 1:
If you checked the connection of the NFC function, be sure to
initialize the wireless speaker by referring to “INITIALIZATION
METHOD” on page 14 after completing the work.
Note 2:
360 Reality Audio cannot be playback via a BLUETOOTH con-
nection. To playback 360 Reality Audio, refer to “MUSIC PLAY-
BACK COMPATIBLE WITH 360 REALITY AUDIO” on page 17.
BLUETOOTH device that supports compatible NFC func-
tion:
• Smartphone with Android ™ 5.0 or later installed
• Walkman ® compatible with NFC function
Note 3:
Even if the Walkman® supports the NFC function, it may not be
possible to make a BLUETOOTH connection with the wireless
speaker with a one touch. For the Walkman® equipped with NFC
function that supports this wireless speaker, refer to the instruction
manual that came with your Walkman®.

Check the following contents before starting work.
• Stop the playback of the BLUETOOTH device that supports
NFC function, or set the volume of the BLUETOOTH device
that supports NFC function and wireless speaker to the mini-
mum.
• Unlock the screen of the BLUETOOTH device that supports
NFC function.
NFC connection procedure:
1. Set the NFC function of the BLUETOOTH device that supports
NFC function to on.
Note 4:
For how to operate the BLUETOOTH device, refer to the instruc-
tion manual of the BLUETOOTH device.

2. Keep contacting the N mark of the wireless speaker with the N
mark of the BLUETOOTH device that supports NFC function
until the BLUETOOTH device that supports NFC function vi-
brates (or until the connection sign etc. is given).
Note 5:
It may take some time for the BLUETOOTH device to vibrate (or
until the connection sign etc. is given).

3. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen of the BLUETOOTH
device that supports NFC function to establish a BLUETOOTH con-
nection.
Note 6:
When the BLUETOOTH connection is established, the wireless
speaker output a beep sound and the [ ] indicator switches from
fl
ashing to light up.

4. Operate the music playback application of the BLUETOOTH
device that supports NFC function to play the music, and af-
ter checking that the sound is output from the wireless speaker
without any problem, disconnect the connection and initialize
the wireless speaker.
Note 7:
To disconnect, touch the N mark of the BLUETOOTH device that
supports NFC function again to the N mark of the wireless speaker.
Note 8:
Be sure to initialize the wireless speaker by referring to “INITIAL-
IZATION METHOD” on page 14.
If you cannot make a BLUETOOTH connection using the
NFC function:
Try the following contents.
• Keep in touch with the N mark on the wireless speaker until the
BLUETOOTH device that supports NFC function vibrates (or
until the connection sign etc. is given), and slowly move the
BLUETOOTH device that supports NFC function.
• If the BLUETOOTH device that supports NFC function is in a
case, remove the case.
