Wi-Fi NETWORK CONNECTION CHECKING METHOD
When checking the Wi-Fi network connection of the wireless speak-
er, refer to the following.
Note 2:
If you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, be sure to initialize the
wireless speaker by referring to “INITIALIZATION METHOD”
on page 14 after completing the work.
Advance preparation:
This wireless speaker can be connected to a Wi-Fi network using
either the “Google Home” application or the “Sony Music Center”
application.
Prepare a smartphone with the “Google Home” application or “Sony
Music Center” application installed in advance.
Note 3:
In order to use the “Google Home” application, you need to create
a Google account and log in.
or
Connection procedure using Google Home:
1. Place the wireless speaker near the Wi-Fi router.
2. Connect your smartphone wirelessly to the Wi-Fi router.
3. Record the SSID and password (encryption key) of the Wi-Fi
router connected to your smartphone in a memo.
Note 4:
Some Wi-Fi routers have multiple SSID. Be sure to record the SSID
used to establish a wireless connection with your smartphone.
For details, refer to the instruction manual of the Wi-Fi router.

4. Turn on the BLUETOOTH function of the smartphone.

5. Connect the AC adaptor to the wireless speaker and touch the [

PAIRING] button to turn on the power.

6. Tap the “Google Home” icon on the smartphone to launch it.
Note 5:
You need to create an account in advance.
7. Tap the “+” icon at the top left of the screen to open the menu,
then tap “Set up device”.
8. When the following screen is displayed, tap the “New devices”
item.
9. Select any item (home) from the list and tap “Next”.
Note 6:
If you have not registered your home, tap “Add another home” and
follow the on-screen instructions to register your home.
