Operation
The first procedure below described replacing the ribbon. When installing a ribbon
the first time, skip to the second procedure.
Notes
• Do not reuse a ribbon.
• Do not attempt to rewind a used ribbon.
• Do not touch the surface of a ribbon, or store it in a dusty place. Body oil from
the hands or dust may cause dirty printing or damage the thermal head.
• The ribbon and the paper must both match the same printing system. Refer to
“Printing Packs” (page 32) for more information.
Replacing a Used Ribbon with a New Ribbon

Pull the RELEASE lever to open the top cover.
Note
Do not open the top cover while the printer is operating.

Remove the used ribbon.
