Additional Information

Symptom

A tape cannot be inserted.

The remote commander does
not function.

The tracking indicator does not
appear on the scr een.

You cannot contr ol other TVs.

The VCR needs to be cleaned.

Remedy

• Check that a tape isn’ t alr eady in the tape

compartment.

• Make sur e you ar e pointing the r emote commander at

the r emote sensor on the VCR.

• Replace all the batteries in the r

emote commander with

new ones if they ar e weak.

• Set COMMAND MODE selectors on both the VCR and

the r emote commander to the same positions.

• Make sur e the  TV / VIDEO  remote contr ol switch is

set cor rectly.

• The recor ding condition of the tape is ver y poor and

tracking cannot be adjusted.

• Set your TV’s code number .  The code number r esets to

01 when you r eplace the batteries of the r

emote

commander .

• Clean the cabinet, panel and contr ols with a dr y, soft

cloth, or a soft cloth slightly moistened with a mild
deter gent solution.  Do not use any type of solvent,
such as alcohol or benzine.
