To cancel PBC Play
Press PBC OFF/ON on the remote repeatedly
until the AUTO PBC indicator goes off.
Still images, such as the menu screens, will
not be shown.
To select a number of the menu
with the remote
Press the numerical buttons in the order you
want in step 2. To enter track numbers 10 or
over, first press >10, then press the numerical
buttons. To enter 0, use the 10/0 button.
Tips
• When
appears on the TV screen, you have
pressed an invalid button. Press a button
indicated by the instructions on the menu screen.
• When you press NEXT (or NEXT + on the
remote) during menu playback or while playing
moving pictures, the next scene on the disc
appears. Also refer to the instructions supplied
with the disc.
Note
The CD player will stop playing in the following
cases:
– When you press PBC OFF/ON on the
remote during playback.
– When you press PLAY MODE during
playback.

Using the CD display
You can check the remaining time of the
current track or the whole CD.

Press DISPLAY/DEMO during
playback.
Each time you press this button in
Normal Play, the display changes as
follows:

Elapsed time on the current track
Remaining time on the current track
Remaining time on the current CD (1 DISC
mode) or
“PLAY” (ALL DISCS mode)
Clock display (for a few seconds)
Effect (P FILE) name or “EFFECT ON
(OFF)”

To check the total playing time
and the number of tracks on a CD
Press DISPLAY/DEMO in stop mode.
If you press DISPLAY/DEMO again, the
clock display appears for a few seconds then
the display returns to the previous indication.
Tip
While playing an audio CD or a VIDEO CD without
PBC function (Ver 1.1), the current track number
and elapsed time of the current track appear.
