(2) Connect the power cord of the VTR to the wall outlet
and turn on the power switch.
(3) Make the cassette compartment go down in a mainte-
nance menu or insert the cassette so as to enter the state
in which the cassette door was opened.

For the maintenance menu of the DVCAM VTR, refer
to Section 4 of Maintenance Manual, Vol. 1 in the DSR
series.
(4) Move the elevator by hand and adjust the cassette to the
height of the VTR cassette insertion slot.
Note: Adjust so that the lower surface of the cas-
sette is the same in height as the half-tone
portion of the cassette insertion slot.
(5) With the height of the elevator put in step (2), confirm
that the shifted height between the VTR shutter plate
and elevator sensor is less than
±
0.5 mm.
If the height of the VTR shutter plate does not satisfy
the specification, loosen the two screws fixing the VTR
shutter plate and adjust the height.
(6) Perform steps (4) and (5) for all VTRs.

Hand cover installation

For DSR-60/80 series VTRs)
Install the hand cover in the elevator with one screw.
