Troubleshooting
Cannot turn on the media converter.
m
Make sure that the AC power adapter is connected to the
DC IN 6V connector of the media converter.
m
Make sure that the AC power adapter plug is inserted
correctly into the wall outlet.
No picture.
m
Make sure that the AC power adapter is connected to the
DC IN 6V connector of the media converter.
m
Make sure that all connecting cables are correctly
connected.
m
Press DV IN or ANALOG IN according to the input
signal.
Cannot record the picture.
m
The input picture includes a copyright protection signal.
In this case, you cannot record the picture (page 22, 23).
Block noise appears on the screen.
m
Block noise may come from some DV units. This is not
malfunction.
Two sound tracks coming from the speakers.
m
When the sound recorded in 12- bit audio mode on the
DV unit is played back, you can listen to the combined
audio of both tracks. While holding DV IN, press
ANALOG IN repeatedly to select the desired mixing rate
(page 12).
After pressing POWER, no picture or sound is output for a
few seconds.
m
This unit begins operating 3 seconds after turning on the
unit. This is not malfunction.
After pressing DV IN, no picture or sound is output for a
few seconds.
m
This unit begins operating 2 seconds after pressing DV
IN. This is not malfunction.
PROTECT indicator lights up.
m
This is not malfunction (page 22, 23).
No sound.
m
Make sure that all connecting cables are correctly
connected.
m
Change the mixing rate of the 12-bit audio mode (page
12).
ANALOG IN indicator lights up red.
m
Holding ANALOG IN for more than 2 seconds selects 16-
bit audio mode and the ANALOG IN indicator lights up
red (page 9). This is not malfunction.
