Cannot operate the analog video unit from the PC.

Make sure that all connecting cables are correctly
connected.
m
Set the LANC setting to “S” on the analog video unit
connected to the media converter (page 24).

Set the video camera recorder connected to the media
converter to “VTR” mode.

Some functions, depending on the analog video unit,
may not work.
Cannot capture images using a PC.

The software in the PC has to be compatible with the
media converter. Ask the software maker.
Cannot record to the DV unit.
m
The recording operation may differ, depending on the
DV unit. Check if the recording button is on the unit or
on the remote controller (on the Sony DCR-PC1/PC7/
PC10, the recording button is on the remote controller).
Refer to the instruction manual of your DV unit.
When using Sony Software DVgate Motion, “No response
from the DV device. Make sure it is connected and turned
on.” appears

Select “Settings” – “Select Device Controller” – “Do not
control DV device with DVgate Motion”
Picture flickers.
m
If you connect both the media converter's ANALOG IN
to the VCR's output connectors, and the media
converter's ANALOG OUT to the VCR's input
connectors, the picture may flicker. Make sure the VCR's
input selection.
