Connecting a digital
component
Connect the digital component using audio cords
(not supplied) and an optical cable (square optical
connector, not supplied). The digital audio signal
from the connected component is digitally
recorded to the MD.
The analogue connection is for monitoring the
audio, and the digital connection is for recording.
If there is no analogue connection, no sound will
be produced from the speaker. The digital audio
signal from the connected component is recorded
to the MD. However, if the digital component is
not connected to the DIGITAL OPTICAL AUX
IN, the audio connected to the AUX IN (analogue)
will be recorded as an analogue signal.
