3-2-2. RPN Correction Adjustment
Equipment: Monochrome monitor
Test Point: TEST OUT connector/side panel
Notes
. This adjustment is required when replacing the TG-194 board, or replacing adjustment controls 1 RV1
or 1 RV2 on the TG-194 board.
. This adjustment must be done at Field Rate 60 (for BVP-9500WS) or 50 (for BVP-9500WSP) : x 1
speed. (Refer to Section 3-1-4.)
Preparations
.
Warm up the CCD unit for two hours or more in the range of room temperature to 45
d
C. Then detach
the CCD unit again from the camera and extend CCD unit with an OHB extension harness. (Refer to
Section 1-9-3.)

Be sure that warming up is carried out at the highest possible temperature in the specified range.
Perform this adjustment in such a short time that the temperature in the CCD unit does not drop.
. Connect a monochrome monitor to the TEST OUT connector/side panel.

Cap the lens mount of the CCD unit with a mount cap.

Adjustment Procedures
1. Select G signal by pushing down the TEST OUT switch (side panel) from the RGB position towards
the SEL position. (You can check which signal is selected on the viewfinder screen.)
2. Press switch S2 on the TG-194 board to check the presence or absence of RPN-corrected pixel in the
G channel.

RPN-corrected pixel, if present, will become whitish as compared to surrounding pixels when the
switch is pressed.
3. In the R channel, check the presence or absence of RPN-corrected point in the same manner.
Select R signal by pushing down the TEST OUT switch (side panel) from the RGB position towards
the SEL position.
4. In the B channel, check the presence or absence of RPN-corrected point in the same manner.
Select B signal by pushing down the TEST OUT switch (side panel) from the RGB position towards
the SEL position.
