INSTALLATION
Precautions before first use
Before using the product for the first time, remove the accessories from the packaging and carefully read the
enclosed instruction manual.
Please wash the inside of the pot lid with warm, soapy water or rinse and dry the inner pot thoroughly. Wipe the
pot with a clean, damp cloth. Do not immerse the pressure cooker in water or any other liquid. The inner stainless
steel pot and the accessory spoon, rice paddle can be cleaned in the dishwasher. The pot lid and the outer pot
are NOT dishwasher safe.
Connect the plug to the appliance first and then to the wall socket!
Condensate collector installation (Figure 3.)
To install, slide the collector into the groove at the top of the pressure cooker’s backside. If you want to clean the
collector, reverse the installation procedure to remove it.
SAFELY OPENING THE LID
1. Before opening the lid, reduce the pressure by one of the following methods.
Quick steam release method:
• Set the safety valve to the “Venting” position and release the steam until the float valve falls off.
Attention!
- When using this method, keep your hands and face away from the openings on top of the safety valve. The
escaping steam is extremely hot and can cause burns!
- Do not remove the valve while steam is being released!
- Please note that this method is NOT applicable to foods with a high liquid or starch content (e.g. porridge,
viscous liquids, soups, etc.). With these foods, food can come out of the valve along with the steam! Use the
natural steam release method for these foods.
Natural pressure relief method:
Allow the pressure cooker to cool down naturally until the float valve drops. This can take up to 10-15 minutes
after cooking is complete, after which the cooker switches to keep warm mode.
• Place a damp towel on the lid to speed up cooling.
2.
Open the lid.
Grasp the top handle of the lid, turn the lid counterclockwise to the open padlock position, lift it,
and then open the lid. To prevent the lid from being forced into the inner pot due to the vacuum, set the vent valve
to the „Venting” position to allow air to enter the pot.
Attention: Do not attempt to open the lid until the pressure in the pressure cooker has dropped. As a safety pre
-
caution, the lid locks onto the pot and cannot be released until the float valve falls into the down position.
If the float valve is jammed due to food debris or sticking, when you are sure that the safety valve is in the “Venting”
position and the pressure has been released from the container, use a fork or chopstick to depress the float valve.
