3. 8. 2. Obstacle detection
Obstacles on the roller shutter apron
Automatic obstacle detection can be used to protect the roller shutter apron and remove any
obstacles:
- If the roller shutter apron encounters an obstacle when
in lowering motion:
-
The roller shutter will stop automatically and retract.
A
V
order is only authorised after the obstacle has
been removed.
The roller shutter may fall when the obstacle is being removed.
- If the roller shutter apron encounters an obstacle
when moving upwards:
-
the roller shutter will stop automatically.
The and
V
orders might not be activated
depending on the shutter's position.
Obstacles while the roller shutter is moving to the Angled out/Angled in position.
Automatic obstacle detection can be used to protect the roller shutter and remove any obstacles:
The roller shutter may fall when the obstacle is being removed.

If the roller shutter encounters an obstacle when moving to the Angled out position:
- the roller shutter will stop automatically and
completely close again.

If the roller shutter encounters an obstacle when
moving to the Angled out position:
- The roller shutter will automatically stop moving to
the Angled out position and return to the lower end
limit.
If there is an obstacle while the shutter is moving to
the Angled in position, the shutter will stop without
damage but cannot be closed, and the Twipso io will
not detect the obstacle.
During the next Angled out/Angled in order, the
roller shutter will perform a sequence of movements
regardless of the position it was in beforehand
(Angled out or Angled in).
