Periodically run water through the machine with portafilter in place, but
without any ground coffee, to rinse out any residual coffee particles.

Should the fine holes in the filters become blocked, you have to clean the
filter baskets.
Proceed as follows:
➊
Knock the grinds out of the filter and portafilter.
➋
Rinse the filter basket under warm, running water.
➌
Place filter basket into portafilter.
➍
Insert and lock the portafilter into the group head and run hot water through the
machine without any coffee grounds by pressing the button 1 Cup
or 2 Cups
.

To clean the Single Wall Filters insert them individually into the portafilter, insert
and lock the portafilter in group head and hold down the 1 Cup-button
con-
tinuously – the hot water runs through.
➏
Use the fine pin on the tip of the cleaning tool to pierce through and clean the
fine holes in the filter basket.
CLEAninG thE OutER hOuSinG AnD CuP WARminG PLAtE
Before cleaning the outer housing, the appliance should be switched off
and unplugged.
The outer housing and cup warming plate can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth.
Then polish with a soft, dry cloth.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, pads or cloths which can scratch the surface.
