For continuous scans
, a 3595 1H and 1J type IMP does not wait for a measurement to complete, but
returns the error code 0xFF8D (
measurement pending
) for all scans until a result is available. When
the measurement is complete, the result is returned in the next scan.

For a single scan
, the results are not returned until the measurement is complete.
