10.2 KIT GSS (GLOBAL SUPPLY SYSTEM).
This kit optimises generator sizing and control when connected to the UPS input.
The generator set can be instructed to start up automatically the moment the mains power is lost, or alternatively,
following a user-set time period without the mains power, and/or when the batteries have discharged to their
residual capacit.
10.3 ISOLATION CONTROLLER.
This device continually checks the transformer isolation, displaying an alarm message on the mimic panel.
10.4 REMOTE MIMIC PANEL.
This device monitors and interacts with the UPS through a serial link RS 485 (maximum distance of 175 m) 25 m

10.5 EXTERNAL MAINTENANCE BYPASS.
This device will electrically exclude and isolate the UPS (e.g. for maintenance operations) without interrupting the
power supplied to the load.
10.6 EXTERNAL MAINTENANCE BYPASS WITH BACKFEED PROTECTION.
This device will electrically exclude and isolate the UPS (e.g. for maintenance operations) without interrupting the
power supplied to the load. 3-pole contactors are used for the back-feed protection (refer to paragraph 10.8).
Note.
An additional option is available to bring the manual bypass signal back to the UPS.

10.8 EXTERNAL BACK-FEED PROTECTION.
External devices can be installed to protect against the
backfeed of dangerous currents, both on the MAINS
SUPPLY and on the AUX MAINS SUPPLY. These devices
are controlled by the BKF PCB installed in the position
shown in figure 10.8.1.

electrical connections and on activating the chosen
protection.
