5.7 Audio Monitor
The
Audio Monitor
screen enables you to specify the level at which the audio signal is
considered to have dropped to silence and the level at which the audio signal is considered to
have risen to an overload condition.
The controls are duplicated for processing channels 1 and 2.
5.7.1 Silent Level
This slider bar may be used to specify the level at which the signal is considered to have
dropped to silence. The range of this control is 0 to -80 dB in steps of 1 dB and the preset
value is -70 dB. The level set by this control must exist continuously for the time specified by
the Warning Timer control for the signal to be considered silent.
5.7.2 Overload Level
This slider bar may be used to specify the level at which the signal is considered to have risen
to an overload condition. The range of this control is 0 to -80 dB in steps of 1 dB and the
preset value is 0 dB. The level set by this control must exist continuously for the time
specified by the Warning Timer control for the signal to be considered overloaded.
5.7.3 Warning Timer
This slider bar may be used to specify the time that either of the above conditions must exist
before considered to be true. The range of this control is 1 to 600 seconds in steps of
1 second. The preset value is 10 seconds.
