Operating Instructions
Shift Inspection of the PC094
The PC094 should be inspected prior to every shift to ensure safe operation and
consistent performance:
•
Check the Hook Safety Latch for functionality.
•
Inspect the boom structure, turret, stabilizers and carrier for any defects
including
“
minor
”
dents, unusual material wear and breaks.
•
Inspect the wire rope for kinks, crushing, breakage, bird caging or other
abnormal wear.
•
Check electrical connections for damage or corrosion.
•
Check joints and rubber hydraulic hoses for leaks, wear, cracks and other
damage.
•
Check the Auto
-
Forward Switch on the tiller by driving slowly in reverse and
then pressing the button. The PC094 should immediately stop and begin
traveling forward.
•
Check the holding valve the prevents boom descent:
1.
Apply a load to the crane that is within the Rated Load Chart.
2.
Raise the load approximately 6 inches off the ground.
3.
The load should remain suspended for 3 full minutes.
4.
Lower the load.
If any deficiencies are found, DO NOT USE THE CRANE until the crane has been fixed.
