HI302 - User’s Manual
5.3
•
0X04: PARTIALLY UPDATED
, If the block is at this status, one or more transactions
were not done successfully during the UPDATING process. Make sure the device
supports all of the commands, otherwise, configure them in the COMMON_CMD_CTRL.
•
0X05: NOT RESPONDING
, The device does not respond anymore, even performing all
RETRIES. If the ID_method parameter is at Automatic, the HI302 will identify the device
and recover the communication. If the ID_METHOD = Manual, set the block at OS and,
then, change it to AUTO. Thus, it goes to the IDENTIFICATION status.
•
0X06: BYPASS,
The block has no valid information because the communication is in
BYPASS mode (see COMM_BEHAVIOR in the HFG block).
•
0X07: DEVICE NOT FOUND
, It is only valid for HIRT blocks. During the Identification
process, the device wasn’t found by the command selected in the ID_CMD parameter. If
the ID_METHOD parameter is set on Automatic, the HI302 will identify the device. If the
ID_METHOD = Manual, set the block at OS and, then change to AUTO. Then, it goes to
the IDENTIFICATION status.
•
0X08: HCD ERROR
, Check the HCD_SEL parameter. There may be any configuration
error. If it is the HVT block, go to the HIRT block where the device is and whose
HART_TAG is written in the HVT.DEV_TAG_SEL. Then, check the HCD_SEL [2]
parameter.
•
0X09: TAG NOT FOUND
, It is only valid for HVT blocks. It indicates that no HIRT block
was found for the HART_TAG from the HVT.DEV_TAG_SEL parameter.
•
0X0A: WRITING
, The block accepted the recording request and has started the
transaction. Set it on OLD DATA and, then change to UPDATE.
BLK_ERROR and DEVICE_STATUS Parameters
The BLOCK_ERR is a parameter of fundamental importance for problem diagnosis both
in the block operation and the associated HART device. For the HIRT and HVT blocks,
according to the last transaction status with the device, the BLOCK_ERR may display the
following messages:
STATUS HART bit
DEVICE_STATUS parameter
BLOCK_ERR parameter
2
Loop Current Saturated
Other
3
Loop Current Fixed
Local Override
1
Non-Primary Variable Out of Limits
Device Needs Maintenance Soon
0
Primary Variable Out of Limits
Process variable has BAD status
7
Device Malfunction
Device Needs Maintenance Now
Not all bits on the BLOCK_ERR parameter are associated with the HART device failure
conditions and associated with the DEVICE_STATUS. Note the following:
•
OutOfService
: When the block is in OOS mode, the BLOCK_ERR will present this bit
already set, regardless of the last device or block operating condition.
•
ConfigurationError
: Indicates there’s possibly a problem in the configuration or in the
HART commands of the HCD block selected on the HCD_SEL parameter. Check this
parameter.
•
ReadBackFailed
: Indicates when the device stopped responding.
