Foldable boot protection
Foldable boot protection (hereinafter referred to as Protection) is intended
for the following vehicles:
KODIAQ (NS)
order no. 565 061 164
KAROQ (NU)
order no. 57A 061 164
The protection is designed as a universal part usable for all variants of
the vehicle luggage compartment and does not fundamentally limit the
variability of the rear seats. However, for 7 seater Kodiaq, it can only be
used when the backrests of the 3rd row of seats are folded down. At
the same time, when placing the blind under the floor, it is not possible
to use cords (B), then fasten the protection only with Velcro (A9) to the
floor.
The protection serves to protect the luggage compartment from
contamination. The cover over the bumper, which is part of the
protection, is used to protect the rear bumper from damage and to
protect people from pollution when loading / unloading objects from /
to the vehicle.
Due to the material of the protection, always consider before using
it, whether it is suitable for the objects transported, as possible
mechanical damage to the protection from coarse, heavy objects is
not a reason for a complaint. When transporting such items, choose
another, more suitable product from the ŠKODA Genuine Accessories
range.

Before mounting the protection in the vehicle, attach the velcro‘s
at the front cover of the protection (A8a), fold the rear bumper
cover (A3) into the protection (with bottom velcro‘s up) together
with the front cover (A2) (see Fig. 1 and 2).

Insert the protection into the luggage compartment and attach the
lower front snap hooks (A5a) to the eyelets or cords (C) (fig. 5).

Attach the lower rear snap hooks (A5b) to the eyelets or cords (B)
(Fig. 5).

Caution: The figures in the manual serve as general information for
installation, due to the variability of the luggage compartment, the
adjustment of the rear seats and the configuration of transported
objects, choose the fastening that best suits the intended purpose of
use. However, always keep in mind that excessive tension or prolonged
loading of the fastening cords and cables can lead to their damage. The
figures mainly show the use of the protection in the Kodiaq vehicle in the

Preparation of lower attachment points

Prepare the lower attachment points (Fig. 3): depending on the vehicle
design, use either the anchor eyelets for the net system directly or, if not
available, attach cords B and C to the eyelets at the luggage compartment
floor. Longer cords (C) are intended for the eyelets at the rear seats of the
vehicle, the shorter cords (B) are intended for the eyelets at the loading edge
of the luggage compartment. Cord tying method - see detail in Fig. 4. The
string eyes must protrude above the floor for the attachment of the snap
hooks (A5a, b) (it is possible to stick them in this position with a suitable
adhesive tape to protect them from sliding under the floor).
7 seater version. For other configurations (flat floor, 5 seats variants, etc.)
and for the Karoq, proceed similarly and select suitable mounting points.
