ADJUSTING BEVEL-SCALE POINTERS
Once you have adjusted the blade to the
correct angle, make sure to adjust the bevel-
scale pointers.
1. Loosen the screw that holds the left pointer
in place a quarter turn.
2. Align the pointer with the 0° line and
retighten the screw.
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 above for the right
pointer.
BEVEL STOP 45° RIGHT AND LEFT
ADJUSTMENT (FIG. 5, 6)
To adjust the right 45° bevel angle, loosen
the bevel-lock knob and rotate the right
bevel-release knob to override the 0° bevel
stop. Move the sliding fence to clear the head
assembly. Rotate the blade until it hits the
45° right bevel stop. Place a combination
square against the blade and table and check
to see if the blade is 45° to the table. If the
blade is not at 45°, rotate the blade back to
the left to access the bevel-stop bolt. Use the
supplied hex wrench to adjust the bevel-stop
bolt. Recheck with the combination square to
ensure that that the blade is 45° to the table.
Continue to adjust the blade-stop bolt until
the blade is 45° to the table.
To adjust the left 45° bevel stop, first
loosen the bevel-lock knob and tilt the head
assembly to the left until it hits the left 45°
bevel stop. Repeat the steps outlined above
for the right bevel stop.
Sliding Fence
1. Unlock the fence-locking knob
3 (Fig. 7).
2. Slide the fence to the proper position.
3. Relock the fence in place.
4. Move the head assembly to check
clearance with fence.
CAUTION
During transportation, the
s l i d i n g f e n c e s h o u l d
always be secured in the full inward position.
