ASSEMBLY
Assembly is highly dangerous and must be carried out in strict accordance with the following
instructions. We recommend that qualified personnel perform assembly. We also recommend that
assembly be carried out in a flat, solid surface, open area with no people (particularly children)
nearby who could be severely injured if they were to touch or move any parts of the machine.
Assemblers must provide suitable lifting mechanisms and supports for stabilizing the partially
assembled units, so as to prevent them from falling and causing damage or injury. The steps for
assembly are illustrated in following. Depending on the experience of the assemblers and the tools
available, it is not necessary that the instructions be followed in the exact order given here, but the
safety precautions described above must always be followed carefully and scrupulously.
Assembly seguence
:
The following pictures , used to describe the rotary rake’s assembly, refer to model 420/11.
On the 320/8 model there are small differences in the shape of components.
The person in charge of assembling the rotary rake should verify in the parts book the small
differences existing compared to the bigger version. The difference in the building’s shape
does not change the function nor the performances.
ATTENTION
For the model 320/8 standard, fit the wheel 26 directly to the outer pins of axle 17. For the
model 320/8 with tandem wheels , fit the lock pins as per spare-parts’ drawing 920.138. For
machines with tandem wheels keep in mind to grease the pin regularly 210.967/a.
Attach the arms (2) to the housing (1), placing them over the pins (3). Fasten the arms by
inserting spring pins (4) into holes (A), and then insert the inside spring pins (5). Attach
grease nipples (16) to the axle (17). Next check to see that the wear bushings are in place on
the wheel tandems (23), and mount the tandems on the axles, inserting spacers (21), in
order to limit play (the longer part of the wheel tandem should face the tractor), and fasten
with the washer (24) and nut (25). Mount wheels (26) on the tandem pins, first placing the
large guard (27) and then the small guard (36), the washer (34) and tighten with the nut (35)
.
