The automatic valves are supplied with a male contact 3003 Molex compatible, suitable for female
Molex series 3001 connector.
The electrical modulator is powered with a male fast-on connector 2.8 x 0.8 mm.
The 24 Vac versions must be powered by means of an insulating transformer with low safety
voltage in accordance with EN 60742.
Make the connections as specified in the technical instructions for the automatic burner control
used and/or in the specific standards for the appliance.
WARNING
CONDENSATION, FORMATION OF ICE AND INGRESS OF WATER ON
THE COIL TERMINALS ARE NOT PERMITTED.

Wiring diagrams
The following options are available:
- the connection diagram is given in Fig.6. The automatic shut-
off valve EV1 shall be supplied connecting pins 3 and 4. The
automatic shut-off valve EV2 shall be supplied connecting pins
1 and 3.
The modulator MD shall be supplied connecting pins 5 and 6.
- the connection diagram is given in Fig.7. The automatic shut-
off valve EV1 shall be supplied connecting pins 3 and 4. The
automatic shut-off valve EV2 shall be supplied connecting pins
1 and 2.
The modulator MD shall be supplied connecting pins 5 and 6.
- the connection diagram is given in Fig.8. The automatic shut-off
valve EV1 and EV2 in series shall be supplied connecting pins 1
and 4. Pin 3 is only for production tests. Do not use in the
appliance.
The modulator MD shall be supplied connecting pins 5 and 6.
SETTINGS AND ADJUSTMENTS
All adjustments must be made on the basis of the specific characteristics of the appliance.
Use a manometer having a full scale in Pascal (not in bar).
Check the inlet pressure Pin and the outlet pressure Pout using the pressure test points provided.
To open the pressure test points use a 4.5 - 5 x 0.8 mm screw driver for slot-head screws. The
screws can not be removed. After settings, carefully seal test points ensuring gas soundness.
Recommended fixing torque: 1.0 Nm.
IMPORTANT
For the valves with the coils powered directly by mains AC current, it
is recommended to limit the voltage spikes which could appear on the valve coils, by using
appropriate protective varistors in parallel to the valve coils (Voltage Dependent Resistors
- VDR).
The use of varistors is recommended especially for markets where the conditions of mains
supply voltage are not guaranteed to stay inside the standard tolerances.
