General instrument functions

Spray

You can switch the spray cooling ON / OFF by pressing
the

spray

key on the dentist element control panel. If

spray is preselected, the green LED in the key is lit.

You can switch the spray for the picked-up instrument
ON / OFF by stepping on the left foot switch button (3).

Spray amount

The spray amount is preset at the factory. However, it
can be adjusted by means of the control valve at the
bottom front part of the dentist element.

To do this, remove the instrument rack (1) as illustrated.

For adjustment loosen the ring (5) by turning it counter-
clockwise, adjust the spray setting by turning the screw
(6) and tighten the ring (5) again.

This setting is then valid for all burr drives.

Chip blower

When the instrument is removed, the chip blower

is

activated by pressing the right button (4) on the foot
switch. As long as you keep the button pressed, an air
jet escapes from the nozzle of the burr instrument.
