6.2.2 Disassembling shape IM B35
For disassembling follow in reverse the instructions provided
in section 6.2.1.
6.2.3 Assembling shape SAE
CAUTION!
Before proceeding with assembly check
that the faces couplings (both on generator
and engine) are in order and perfectly
clean.
Remove the protective grids (6).
Make sure the diameter of the disk (3) corresponds with
the diameter of the seat in the
fl
ywheel (

).
Anchor the generator to the engine by locking the SAE
bell (1), making sure that the holes in disk and
fl
ywheel
are aligned.
Anchor the disk (3) at the
fl
ywheel (
2
).
Check that the exciter rotor and stator are perfectly
aligned.
Mount the assembly on antivibration plugs (
5
) making sure
that engine and generator are level.
Fasten the grids (6).

6.2.5 Tightening torques
For mechanical connections it is recommended to use

6.3 Earthing
The generator housing has to be soundly connected to earth
on the base of the generating set. If
fl
exible antivibration
supports are mount ed between the generator housing and
its base, an earth conductor should be connected in parallel
through the
fl
exible support and be adequately sized (usually
half of the section of the main line cables).
The rear shield, next to the feet, has two
M8
threaded holes
that can be used when earthing the housing .

Make sure the earthing procedure is carried
out properly.
