An aut opilot syst em includes several unit s t hat need t o
be m ount ed in different locat ions on t he boat , and also
need t o connect wit h at least t hree different syst em s on
t he boat :
•
EVC Aut opilot I nt erface
•
The boat s elect rical syst em ( 12V Sim Net power)
•
Ot her equipm ent on board ( Sim Net / NMEA int erfacing)
I n addit ion, t he adv anced capabilit ies of t he syst em
require t he inst aller t o perform a series of set t ings and
t est s t o verify proper operat ion of t he syst em , refer t o
t he check list below.

3. Connect Sim Net devices t o Sim Net ( page 15)

5. Test Aut opilot Operat ion at Sea ( refer t o Sea Trial
inst ruct ions in t he Operat or m anual)
2 .2 Un pa ck in g a n d h a n dlin g
Care should be t aken when unpacking and handling t he
equipm ent . A visual inspect ion should be m ade t o see
t hat t he equipm ent has not been dam aged during
shipm ent and t hat all com ponent s and part s are present
according t o t he packing list .
