ELECTRONIC CARD
The electronic card has been produced in
compliance with the EEC Low Voltage
Directive 73/23.
The supply must be at 230V and 24V is
sent through a built-in transformer to the
following components: limiter thermostat,
safety fumes thermostat, water pressure
valve, modulator, thermo actuator, sensors,
and the remote control panel.
An automatic and continuous modulation
system allows the boiler to adjust power to
the various needs of the plant or of the user.
The electronic components are guaranteed
to function within a temperature range of
from 15 to + 40 °C.
3.1.1
Devices foreseen
on the card
The electronic card has the following devi-
ces:
-
“IGNITION PRESSURE” trimmer
(5 fig. 11)
The electronic card has an “IGNITION
PRESSURE” trimmer to vary the gas valve
pressure level when switching on (STEP).
According to the type of gas for which the
boiler is adapted, the trimmer may need
to be adjusted to obtain a pressure input
to the burner of about 3 mbar for metha-
ne gas, and 8 mbar for LPG.
To increase pressure, turn the trimmer
clockwise, and to decrease pressure, turn
the trimmer anti-clockwise.
PLEASE NOTE:
After establishing the pressure level on
ignition (STEP) according to the type of
gas, check that the pressure for the
heating system is still at the previously
set pressure.
-
“MAXIMUM HEATING POWER”
(6 fig. 11)
This regulates the maximum heating
power.
-
“MET-LPG” connector
(1 fig. 11)
The connector bridge must be positioned
according to the type of gas for which the
boiler is adapted:
position “A”
for metha-
ne gas,
position “B”
for LPG gas.
-
“DELAYED IGNITION” connector
(2 fig. 11)
The card is provided with a device that
prevents, in the heating position, frequent
re-ignition, particularly on a badly sized
plant. The system provides for a delay,
between each switch-off, controlled by
the card, with an interval of about 90
seconds during which the boiler cannot
be switched on again.
If the water temperature descends to
15° below the set value during the 90
seconds, ignition is immediate.
The delay can be removed by switching
the connector bridge to
position “B”
.
-
“DELAYED IGNITION” connector.
(4 fig. 11)
The connector bridge allows for the
delayed ignition to last up to 12 seconds,
in order to give more time for setting:
position “A”
ignition within 8 seconds,
position “B”
delayed ignition of up to 12
seconds.
-
“HEATING RANGE REGULATION”
connector
(3 fig. 11)
The heating mode is activated by the
remote control which is equipped with an
environment temperature sensor.
With the connector bridge in
position “A”
the heating can be regulated between 40
and 80°C. Moving the bridge to
position
“B”
the range is from 15 to 45°C.
-
Led “L1”
(13 fig. 11)
Green led on with card under voltage.
3.2
TEMPERATURE
SENSORS
Immersions sensors to measure the tem-
perature of heating water (SM) and of sani-
tary water (SS) are interchangeable with
each other.
If the sensor is blocked, the boiler will not
function for either system and the remote
control display shows the alarm message:
“ALL 05” for the heating sensor (SM) and
“ALL 04” for the sanitary water sensor
(SS).

give the resistance values (
Ω
) obtai-
ned on the sensors when the temperature
varies.
