THE SYSTEM DOES NOT SUPPLY ENOUGH HOT WATER
In this case, perform the following operations:
– Consider the atmospheric conditions.
– Avoid using large amounts of hot water during the night.
– Check that your hot water requirements have not increased to
the point that the system cannot satisfy them.
– Check whether the solar panel is under the shade of any ob-
stacle.
– Check the system’s horizontal position.
– Carefully check whether all the system’s connections are airti-
ght and tighten or replace any loose connections.
– Check the building’s piping and taps for any leakages.
– Check that there is no mixing between the hot water and the
cold water.
– Check that there are no bends in the connecting pipes.
– Check the level of heat-transfer liquid and top it up if neces-
sary.
– Check that no air is trapped in the calorifier or in the collectors.
If the system’s performance does not improve after these checks,
contact the dealer or the manufacturer’s technical assistance
service.
THE SYSTEM DOES NOT SUPPLY HOT WATER THROUGH THE
HEATING ELEMENT
Fig. 19
The following operations must be carried out exclusively by a
qualified technician!
– Disconnect the power supply and open the cover of the junction
box.
– Check the connection between the thermostat and the heating
element.
– Check whether the temperature at which the thermostat was
adjusted is lower than the usage needs.
– Check the heating element.
– Check the power supply.
– Connect the power supply and measure the voltage at the ends
of the heating element.
– Verify that the thermoelectric protection (B) of the thermostat
is pressed inwards. If not, turn the thermostat regulator until
the button of the thermoelectric switch (B) appears.
Subsequently, press the button to allow the thermostat to fun-
ction.

5 MAINTENANCE
m
WARNING
– The maintenance operations described below must
ONLY be carried out the professionally qualified per-
sonnel
who MUST wear
suitable protective safety
equipment.
– Make sure that the system components and pipes
are not hot (risk of burns).
– Periodic maintenance must be carried out every two
years by an authorised technician or by personnel of
the manufacturer’s technical assistance service.
– Periodic inspections are indispensable for the war-
ranty’s validity.
5.1
General information and maintenance
– The system will reach optimal performance levels two days af-
ter it is installed.
– We recommend regularly inspecting the glass cover of the col-
lectors and cleaning it if it has dust, snow or anything else that
can interfere with the sun’s rays, checking it for any cracks on
the surface, and replacing it as soon as possible if damaged.
– Check the anti-freeze liquid in the circuit at least once a year
and top it up if necessary.
– Check at least once a year all the valves, verify that the bolts
and nuts are properly tightened and check the stability of the
support frame.
– In case of extended periods of inactivity, cover the collectors to
avoid damages to the entire system.
– Regularly check for the presence of leakages, anomalies on
piping, air bubbles in the system and all piping connections.
5.1.1
Inspection
The inspection concerns the entire system and more specifically:
– Disconnect the power supply.
– Drain water from the calorifier.
– Remove the cover of the junction box.
– Detach the live, neutral and earth wires.
– Remove the heating element by loosening the M8 screws.
– Remove the magnesium anode from the heating element
flange.
– Screw on the new ø26x500 mm/500 g anode.
– Put the heating element back on with its seal. Loosen the ex-
ternal magnesium cap in the middle of the right-hand sec-
tion of the calorifier. Replace the anode with a new ø22x300
mm/200 g anode on the cap and loosen it.
– Open the water supply and the hot water withdrawal point until
the calorifier is filled up.
– Check for any leakages.
– Connect the electrical parts in their previous positions.
– Check that the thermostat is correctly applied to the heating
element.
– Put the cover of the junction box back on.
– Connect the power supply.
m
WARNING
– For systems with heating element, we recommend
having them checked by a qualified technician.
