3 Safety
The following safety guidelines must be observed in order to prevent physical injury and
damage to objects or to the Sensor IQ Easy itself.
Warning:
- The Sensor IQ Easy is designed solely for measuring electrostatic charge.
- The electrical installation and repair must be carried out by an electrical engineer with the
relevant training and qualifications and in accordance with the applicable national and local
regulations.
- The Sensor IQ Easy can only be supplied by a Manager IQ Easy or an equivalent Simco-Ion
IQ power supply.
- The equipment must be earthed properly through the Manager IQ Easy. Earthing is
necessary to ensure proper and safe operation and to prevent electric shocks upon contact.
- Disconnect the power supply before carrying out any work on the unit.
- The Sensor IQ Easy is not intended as a safety component in machines.
- The Sensor IQ Easy must not be used in explosion-hazardous areas.
Note:
- Making changes, adjustments etc. without prior written consent or carrying out repairs using
non-original parts will invalidate the device’s guarantee.
