3: Maintenance and Upgrade Procedures

Removing the DVD-ROM Drive

Follow these steps to remove the DVD-ROM drive:

Note:

You must remove the drive shroud before you can remove the DVD-ROM drive.

Disconnect the IDE and power cables from the rear of the DVD-ROM drive.

2. Squeeze the tabs on the drive rails against the sides of the drive. Then slide the drive

out of the drive cage (see Figure 3-15).
