2: System Overview

I/O Daughtercard

The I/O daughtercard is the long narrow board that is mounted on the rear of the
enclosure just below the power supply. This card acts as an extension of the IO9 board; it
provides the following connectors (see Figure 2-7):

•

Two PS2 ports for keyboard and mouse

•

Four RCA audio jacks (2 inputs, 2 outputs)

•

Power port for external speakers (2.5 mm jack)

•

Two 3.5 mm stereo audio jacks (one input, one output)

•

Two serial ports (DB9)

•

One L1 diagnostic port (USB-B)

•

One console port (DB9)
