4. Choose Yes, I want to restart my computer now and click
Close to restart Windows. Remove the driver diskette.
5. After Windows restarts, at the Found New Hardware
Wizard , choose Install the software automatically
(Recommended) , then click Next .
6. Click Continue Anyway and Finish .
7. Repeat steps 5-6 again.
8. Windows XP installs its built-in IDE driver for the RAID
controller, in order for the RAID controller to function
properly you must install the updated RAID driver from the
UltraATA 100 RAID driver diskette. Continue to step 9 to
update the ATA 100 RAID controller driver.
9. From the XP desktop click Start .
10. Right click My Computer .
11. Click Manage then click Device Manager .
12. Double click IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers .
13. Double click CMD PCI-0649 Ultra DMA IDE Controller .
14. Click Driver , then click Update Driver .
15. Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) ,
click Next .
16. Select Don’t search. I will choose the driver to install, then
click Next .
17. Insert the UltraATA 100 RAID driver diskette and click
Have Disk .
18. Type in A:\ , then click OK .
19. CMD PCI-0649 Ultra100 IDE Raid Controller should
display in the Hardware Update Wizard window. Click
Next .
20. Click Continue Anyway to install the updated driver. Our
driver has been thoroughly tested in Windows for stability. This
message appears because Microsoft has not tested this product
through WHQL certification.
21. Click Finish , close all open windows, remove the diskette
from the floppy drive and click Yes to restart the computer to
complete installation.
