5.1

General Information

This chapter describes how to wire up the device.

When using unshielded cables start by installing ferrite beads (Page 35). Afterwards:

1. Connect power supply (Page 35)

2. Connect signal cables (Page 36)

3. Connect terminal box and transmitter (Page 37) (must always be carried out)

The chapter only describes wiring of devices with HART. In order to wire up devices with
Profibus PA, refer to the Appendix: Wiring devices with Profibus PA (Page 106)
