Error messages

These error messages are shown on the 7-segment display (Page 31) as continuously running

text ("ticker").

Note
When submitting a query to the SIEMENS Technical Support Service: In addition to the

message shown on the 7-segment display, additional information regarding the status LEDs

and the operating state (continuous operation, switch-on phase, restart, etc) can provide

important information on resolving your problem.

Troubleshooting

"Crash" or kernel panic: The Linux system no longer

responds

1. Restart the NCU.
2. Execute the "DIDAC" diagnostics option.

This function saves all the diagnostic data
to a ZIP file.

3. Contact the SIEMENS Technical Support

Service and transfer the zipped diagnos‐
tics data.

Copy FAIL

The FWH installation was unsuccessful.

"Failure"

The point is continuously lit and no longer flashes:

NCK crash

Lxx=yyy

Internal error when starting NCK, "xx" is the line

number in the mcsystem.ini, "yyy" is a unique error

code for the code position.

The CNC software package is missing or cannot be

Service if the SD card is not defective.

NO SD

The operating system cannot detect an SD card.

● Insert the SD card.
● Check that the SD card is correctly inser‐

ted.

● Check whether the SD card is defective.

NO SSD

The internal storage medium was not detected.

Contact SIEMENS Technical Support Service.
