Diagnostics with enabled diagnostic interrupt messages
If diagnostic interrupt messages are enabled, the error messages are stored in the CPU
diagnostics buffer in plain text. You can further process these messages with the appropriate
function blocks, e.g. so that they are forwarded to an HMI.
Error states are displayed by a red tool symbol in the online device view when diagnostic
interrupt messages are activated. Right-click on the affected module and click on "Online &
Diagnostics" in the shortcut menu to view the error text underneath the "Channel
diagnostics" entry.
Diagnostics using the "TO_Ident" technology object
Alternatively, you can also diagnose the readers using the "TO_Ident" technology object. You
can find detailed information on this in the TIA Portal help.
