Expanding and assigning parameters to the device 

 

6.1 Installing and removing the memory module 

SIMATIC IPC427D

Installation 

 

1.  Insert the memory module into the 

marked slot at an incline with the contact 

side facing the motherboard. 

 

2.  Carefully press the memory module into 

the contact strip until the latches engage. 

The new memory configuration is detected automatically. System RAM, extended RAM and 

buffer memory cache are displayed during device startup.  

After insertion and removal 

Close the device. 
The device will automatically register the new memory capacity when it is switched on. The 

changes in the system RAM, extended RAM and cache SRAM will be displayed when the 

device is booted.
