Preparing and wiring front connectors for I/O modules without shield contact element
1. As needed, switch off the load power supply.
2. Pivot the front cover of the module to be wired up, until the front cover latches (Figure 1),
or take the front cover completely off.

Bring the front connector into the pre-wiring position. To do this, hook the front connector
into the bottom of the module and swivel it upward until the front connector latches
(Figure 2).
Result: In this position, the front connector still protrudes from the module (Figure 3).
However, front connector and module are not yet electrically connected. The advantage
of the pre-wiring position is the convenient wiring.
4. Place the included cable strain relief (cable tie) for the cable harness into the front
connector (Figure 4).
5. Begin to completely wire the front connector.
6. Put the strain relief around the cable harness, and pull the strain relief for the cable
harness tight.
