The restart behavior of the CPU 41x-2 PCI after Power On varies according to how
you connected the CPU 41x-2 PCI to the power supply. The restart behavior of the
CPU 41x-2 PCI after Power On of the PC depends on several factors:

Whether or not backup battery is available

Whether or not the CPU 41x-2 PCI is connected to an external independent
power supply (UPS)
•
Type of memory card (FLASH card or RAM card)

What happens after a Power Off/Power On of the
PC?

When the PC is powered off, the CPU 41x-2
loses its power supply - a backup battery is not
available, and the user program is aborted.
A user program on the FLASH card is retained.
All RAM contents (work and integrated load
memory, RAM card) are lost.
After the PC is powered on, the mode selector is
on STOP and the CPU 41x-2 PCI performs an
automatic memory reset and remains in STOP
mode (cold restart).
