Overview
The IP telephone HiNet LP5100 has all the features of a modern
comfort telephone set. It is designed for the connection to a data
network, and it is not directly connected with an ISDN system or
to the PSTN.
You can make a telephone call as usual by means of the HiNet
LP5100 – the only difference being that you’re making it via a data
network. The telephone is equipped with an Ethernet interface so
that when using the TCP/IP protocol, you can make the telephone
calls both via your own intranet and via the worldwide internet.
The conformity to international standards, among others H.323,
makes video conferences via the LAN possible. The HiNet
LP5100 supports even other standard protocols, which optimizes
the data and voice transmission and simplifies the administration
of the unit. It is for example possible to download updates of
equipment software or extended features to the HiNet LP5100 via
the FTP server.
The HiNet LP5100 is provided with a two-line display and special
dialog keys enabling a user-friendly navigation through the menu
structure of the unit software. The great variety of features and the
user-programmable keys enable individual configurations of the
telephone to meet most requirements.
