Setting the base station
The base station settings are carried out
using a registered Gigaset S67H handset.
Protecting against unauthorised
access
Protect the system settings of the base sta-
tion with a PIN known only to yourself.
The system PIN must be entered when, for
example, registering/de-registering a
handset to/from the base station or when
restoring the default settings.
Changing the system PIN
You can change the 4-digit system PIN set
on the base station (default setting: 0000)
to a 4-digit PIN known only by you.

Resetting the system PIN
If you have forgotten your system PIN you
can reset the base station to the original
code
0000
:
Disconnect the power cord from the base
station. Hold down the registration/pag-
ing key on the base station while recon-
necting the power cable to the base sta-
tion. Release the key after a while.
The base has now been reset and the sys-
tem PIN
0000
set.
Changing ringer tones
(Gigaset SX675 isdn only)

The base station only signals incoming
calls for the MSNs that are assigned to
the answer machine as receive MSNs
(page 42). You can change the volume
and ringer tone.

Volume:
You can choose between five volumes
and the "crescendo" ring, see page 56.
Select "0" to deactivate the base station
ringer tone.

Ringer tones:
You can set a ringer tone melody for
external calls, see page 56.
